SLIANZ CONFERENCE 2015
3 - 5 July, Christchurch
SLIANZ is now calling for presentations for the 2015 conference. We would like to invite interested parties and organisations to submit abstracts for your proposed presentation or workshop. These should relate to the conference theme of "Interpreters in an evolving world". Some topics you might consider presenting on are: how interpreters can manage to keep up with technology, and changing terminology. The theme is open to your creative interpretation, and all proposals will be considered.
Please send a summary (abstract) of your presentation - this should be less than 200 words. It should outline the objectives of your presentation/workshop, the length of time required to deliver it (usually 30-40 minutes for a presentation, 90 minutes for a workshop).
Video submissions in NZSL are welcome; these should be less than 3 minutes. Upload your video to YouTube and send a private link to the conference email address.
Please also include your name, contact details and the language in which your presentation will be delivered.
We strongly encourage all members of SLIANZ, ASLIA, Deaf and hearing consumers of interpreting services to think about the skills or experiences you can share with your colleagues, in a supportive environment.
We will let you know the outcome of your submission.
Regards, SLIANZ Conference Committee 2015.
